Bill D. Nelson
Senior Designer
Bill Nelson has been with S&Co. Design since 1997, quickly moving to the position of senior designer. He is responsible for designing a variety of projects from invitations to capabilities brochures to event graphics for such clients as Bishop-McCann, the Kemper Musuem of Contemporary Art and the Kansas City Symphony. Bill utilizes his talents in illustration for projects needing to express a depth of concept which photography cannot attain.
Bill shares his talents with the community by designing invitations, onsite
graphics, etc., for such not-for-profit organizations as the Heartland Men’s Chorus, the Kansas City Free Health Clinic, and the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, for which he also served as a board member.
Before joining the S&Co. team, Bill worked in Tulsa, Wichita and Lawrence, for both small design studios and also a large advertising agency. He’s a graduate of the University of Kansas with a BFA in Visual Communication. During his stay at KU he was often honored for his design work in faculty-selected shows.
He spends his free time on other creative endeavors: music, theater, set
design, and playwriting/producing. These passions, as well as travel, keep him inspired at work. |
